What role will you have at Camp this summer?
I am excited to be serving as the Teenside Program Coordinator.
Where did you grow up?
Liverpool, England.
Where do you live now?
Most of the time onboard a cruise ship!
Number of summers at SLC?
Seven. Five years with a six-year break and now this is my second summer back.
What is your favorite activity at SLC?
My favourite (I’m British you know) activity has to be Olympics! I know everyone probably picks Olympics but there is something about everyone coming together and having such a fun day!
What is your favorite meal at Camp?
100% tomato soup and grilled cheese! It’s totally not something we do in England!
What do you do when you are not at Camp?
I work on cruise ships with Royal Caribbean! Sailing the world and keeping the guests entertained. I get to run the day to day activities and I learned a lot from Camp to help with this job!
What are you looking forward to this summer?
I’m looking forward to everything this summer! I’m excited to work in a new role and introduce new activities (and make sure the familiar ones are great too). I’m excited to have a behind the scenes role that can still have a strong impact on the campers’ summer! I’m excited to return to work with people I respect and admire and just spend my summer in my happy place.
What is your superpower?
My superpower is definitely energy! I don’t know where is comes from but I think it’s contagious and I like to think the more positive I am the more it rubs off on other people!!!
Who would you most like to meet (living or dead) and why?
I would most like to meet someone that would have a positive impact on my life. I can’t think of a specific person but someone that would give me the advice I need at the time that I need it.
What is your favorite Camp song?
Anything by Pete Seeger. I never knew who he was before camp and now I love listening to his music over the summer!
