DESCRIPTION:A Day of Community\,\nCamaraderie\, and Fun!\n\nSpend a hard-working\, fun\, and fulfilling day getting camp cleaned up and beautifying our grounds in preparation for summer.  It’s a mitzvah! \nProjects include cleaning\, painting\, weeding\, spreading wood chips\, gardening\, and a wide range of other projects designed to improve and beautify camp. \nAll you need to bring with you is a hat\, a water bottle\, sturdy shoes (no flip flops\, please!)\, a strong work ethic\, and your enthusiasm. This event happens RAIN OR SHINE\, so please check the weather and dress accordingly.  Snacks and a bagel lunch with sides will be provided. All who stay until at least 2pm will receive a Volunteer Day t-shirt. Watch this short video from one of our previous Volunteer Days. \nChildren are welcome! We only ask that they work on the same project as their parents. Teens (13+) can either stay with their families or help out with the Teenside projects. Camp will provide a letter of community service for anyone in need of this. \nWe hope you will join us! SUMMARY:Friends and Family Fun Day 2026
DESCRIPTION:Play\, Picnic\, Enjoy A Campfire . . . Choose one or all at this 2nd annual Spring event at SLC!\nJoin us for a fun day at camp with your friends and/or family.  Guests will have the opportunity to participate in Kickball\, Volleyball\, Pickleball\, Basketball\, Lawn Games\, and more.  The day will end with a campfire by the lake\, complete with s’mores!\nSunday\, May 17 * 9am-4pm\nThe cost for Family Fun Day is $25 for SLC Alumni Association Members and $30 for non-members. \n($100/$120 for families of 4 or more) All proceeds will benefit Surprise Lake Camp. \nMorning snacks and s’mores will be provided.  Please bring your own bagged lunch/picnic food. \nCheck-in will begin at 9am and games begin at 10am. \nSchedule\n9:00am: Check-in begins.  Light snacks will be available until 11am. \nActivities begin at 10:00am. You can join one of our organized games or tournaments\, or feel free to choose your own adventure. Lawn Games\, light Arts & Crafts activities\, and Sandcastle Building will be available all day long. \n10:00 am: Pickleball Tournament \n11:00am: Basketball in the Gym \n12:00pm:  Lunch by the Lake \n1:00pm:  Beach Volleyball Tournament \n2:00pm: Kickball Game \n3:00pm: Campfire\, Singing\, & S’mores \n4:00pm: Nestling & Departure \nPlease Remember:\n\nAll participants must register in advance (see the form below). DESCRIPTION:Wrap up your current K-4th grader’s  summer with Get Your Feet Wet. This mini-adventure for new campers helps your child dip their toe into the magic of sleepaway camp. Campers will experience a hike\, a Shabbat program\, a campfire and s’mores\, daily swims in our lake or pool\, an ice cream sundae party\, singing\, ballfield activities\, boating\, arts & crafts\, drama\, and much more! \nGet Your Feet Wet is staffed by hand-picked summer staff members who bring with them electric energy! Aquatics are supervised by certified lifeguards and a nurse is present at all times. Spirit\, caring\, and outstanding supervision are guaranteed. \nTuition for the program is $500.
