Highlights of the Day:
Today we will welcome tons of former campers and staff back to SLC for our annual Alumni Day. Visitors range from 17 to 80+. They have stories to share from their days at SLC as a winter camper, or when the bunks were tents and so much more.
Jacob “Spike” Kraus is coming to visit us for the next three days. Spike is a singer/songwriter, educator and innovator changing the way we think about Jewish music. He brings enthusiasm to his work and has a deep understanding of Jewish music as he is helping to write the next chapter of how Jewish communities are strengthened through music. He arrives today and will lead our campers in song. He will teach them new songs, spread his knowledge, energy and contagious personality.
This evening, Boulder Hill will go on a sunset hike. They’ll hike up after eating an early dinner just in time to get cozy as they watch the sun go down.
Tonight, Sherwood, Merrylane and Work Program will go on overnights to three of our campsites. They’ll leave just before dinner, cook burgers and hotdogs over the fire and roast marshmallows while singing campfire songs and playing games.
