In the morning we provide a breakfast bar with fresh fruit, assorted cereals, yogurt, granola, and hard boiled eggs. For lunch and dinner, we have a salad bar with a variety of greens, proteins, veggies and dressings.
Sun and clouds mixed with a high of 84°F during the day and mostly cloudy skies in the evening with a low of 62°F.
Highlights of the Day:
Our second Shabbat together was beautiful. We celebrated our first bat mitzvah of the summer season. Standing up in front of the entire SLC community to declare your intention to embrace Jewish tradition with the support of your group mates is powerful and meaningful.
Our first session of Mini Camp, our shorter program for first-time campers departs today, and later this afternoon we welcome our second group of Mini Camp campers.
This evening, Sherwood, the oldest campers on Teenside, will go on a sunset hike to Fire Tower.
Boulder Hill and Timberline, also Teenside units, are hiking up to two of our camp sites for an overnight tonight to set up tents, cook dinner and enjoy a campfire. They return early in the morning to a “lazy breakfast” where they get to have breakfast in their lodge.
