Staff Spotlight: Paul Suchow
What role do you have at Camp this summer?
I am Paul Music! Bringing music to all parts of SLC this summer!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York.
Where do you live now?
We recently moved to Beacon, New York (not far from SLC)!
Number of summers at SLC?
This is my 25th summer.
What is your favorite activity at SLC?
My favorite activity at SLC is swimming in the lake or pool.
What is your favorite meal at Camp?
My favorite camp meal is the Friday Night “Shabbas” meal.
What do you do when you are not at Camp?
When I’m not at camp I am composing and producing music for several underscore music companies in NYC and teaching music.
What are you looking forward to this summer?
I’m looking forward to celebrating my 25th year and living in Beacon.
What is your superpower?
My superpower is the ability to listen to a piece of music and being able to play it back on guitar. My real superpower however is: Elaine Suchow, my wife!
Who would you most like to meet (living or dead) and why?
I would love to meet Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as his commitment to helping the world change for the better has always inspired me.
What is your favorite Camp song?
My favorite camp songs are ones with meaningful messages like “This Land Is Your Land” especially when campers voices sing out together!!
